Clinical AI for the NHS

Making clinical AI safe enough for the bedside.

Clinicians are already using AI to answer clinical questions. TrustMed Digital builds the safety, governance and guideline layer that lets hospitals make that use safer, grounded in their own protocols, and fully auditable.

Talk to us

TrustGuide

Our first product is a clinical decision support safety layer for acute care: intensive care, anaesthetics and emergency medicine. It answers clinical questions from the guidelines a trust actually follows, and is designed to know when not to answer.

01

Grounded in your guidelines

Answers are drawn from local trust protocols and national sources such as NICE, Resuscitation Council UK and the Difficult Airway Society, not the open internet.

02

Conflicts shown, never blended

When guidelines disagree, TrustGuide classifies the conflict and shows it. Numerical differences, such as doses and thresholds, are always flagged and never averaged.

03

Verbatim when time matters

Time-critical protocols, such as resuscitation and airway algorithms, are surfaced word for word from the authoritative source. They are never paraphrased by AI.

04

Governed and auditable

Every query and source is logged, so trusts can review how AI is being used, learn from it, and be transparent with patients and regulators.

A source hierarchy clinicians recognise

Local practice comes first. TrustGuide ranks sources in the order an NHS clinician would, so the answer reflects how care is actually delivered in your organisation.

Built to NHS safety standards

Clinical safety documentation is developed alongside the product, not after it. TrustGuide is being built in line with DCB0129 clinical risk management, the NHS Digital Technology Assessment Criteria (DTAC) and MHRA guidance on AI as a medical device.

In development. TrustGuide is not yet available for clinical use. We are working with NHS acute care teams ahead of pilot deployment.

Founded by a clinician

TrustMed Digital was founded by Dr Rakay Khan, a critical care and anaesthetics registrar in London and a member of the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme. TrustGuide is built around the questions clinicians face on shift, by someone who works those shifts.
